That scene with the coworker and MC with the police that seemed to not gonna do something about it cause it's "between acquaintance" is so true in Japan.
This is according to a YouTuber who lived in Japan, and unfortunately, when a dispute or something happened and it's between two people, the police might do nothing because it's private and only the victim and the accused should talk it out. For instance, that one article about a wife (obviously cheating on her husband) was assaulted by male s3x worker she's secretly seeing, it happened so suddenly and she didn't expect for the man to do it. When she told the police about it, they only made the host apologize to her, and told the wife that there's nothing more for them to do since the dispute was private. So it should be dealt with between acquaintance. Like, wtf, even if that were the case the woman was strangled and urinated on the face if I remember correctly... and the only thing they did for the guy was to apologize?? They let the guy off too easy, what about the other girls that will encounter him?? Assuming that women love to spend their money on them "therapist" , then surely what that guy did wouldn't just be a one time thing. It might happen again and again, drunk or not.
This was long enough, but seeing that particular scene made me thought of that article and Joey's (the YouTuber) comment on Japan's police responds to such crime is a bit questionable really...
