Apparently as a adult. And I don't know where to read it, just learned about it while researching spoilers.

The baby is technically a child of a noble. His father was Senna. And with the second son of the family being the families only other survivor(I think) He might raise the baby as his heir. They also said the baby had a talent for magic, so maybe that's the wizard part?
I could be way off base though.
