They chat with her, pretty much tell her to keep quiet, ask to buy the gemstone Jio gave her, he ends up becoming sort of friends with the family (older brother is the food stall worker) and getting invited to their youngest sibling's (who isn't scared of Jio) initiation with the sun god. There, I think one of the other candidates is or is related to the mermaid that giovanni taught and they go into his backstory a little.
