this manga is so overhyped it's insane. the author does an awful job at attacking the trauma that the
MC faces (that is to say, barely does anything with it at all) and the MLs supposedly admirable qualities are worse than bare minimum. if this was a straight manga people would be calling it out as one of the worst most misogynistic stories, but since it's gay and ppl will glaze BL no matter what it's revered as a moving and emotional story. all the world building is a blackpilled man's wettest dream in gay form. the pacing is bad, and they start getting "spicy" so early you might as well be watching the MC get molested all over again. and let me say that i am the type of person willing to read all types of stories: black, green, yellow, red, rainbow flag whatever, but if i know what i'm going into. this is a red flag story masquerading as green flag through word of mouth and tags, but the ML is no better than the average red flag alpha. the only thing he has above them is that he manages to stop himself from raping the MC, but the fact of the matter is that he still SAs the MC and wants to rape him. awful all around.

Aren’t they supposed to be fairly young when they got together and ended up having like 3 kids?
I don’t read stories with babies/kids, even though all the positive comments I read on it kinda made me curious, but my “no kid” policy held me back then I saw how where how young they were and I had even less interest.

Lol, enlighten me—which chapter exactly did he “want to rape” him? Because if you're talking about the instances where he stops himself from forcing himself on the MC, then that's literally the opposite of what you're claiming. I haven't seen him actually force himself on the MC in those scenes, so throwing around “he wants to rape him” as if it's an established fact is ridiculous.

And yeah, apparently not sexually assaulting someone and respecting their boundaries is “bare minimum” now but somehow when an ML actually does those things consistently, people still have to drag him into the same category as MLs who have literally raped their MCs. You can criticize him for doing what any decent person should do, but acting like that makes him equivalent to MLs who actually cross those lines is just dishonest. “He could have done worse” and “he actually did worse” are not the same thing.

Also, have you actually read enough omegaverse to make this comparison? Because there are dozens upon dozens of omegaverse stories where rape, abuse, reproductive coercion, and terrible parenting are treated like casual inconveniences or barely addressed at all. Good parenting and actually dealing with the consequences of trauma are already ridiculously rare in the genre. So yes, this story getting praised for actually attempting to portray those things differently isn't some inexplicable mystery.
