That’s called “you reap what you sow". Supporting someone’s mental health doesn’t mean you have to excuse everything they did.
Why should Nanjo accept him just because he’s struggling and suicidal? He chose the wrong way to pursue Nanjo, and now he has to face the consequences of those choices.

Not enough, IMO. Nanjo should take his time and think things through before deciding whether to accept him. He doesn’t have to rush into forgiving him just coz he’s suffering and suicidal

Forgiving someone and getting into a relationship with someone are 2 different things. If Nanjo is the good person u think he is, he should forgive Mok because the guy did ask for forgiveness which is very hard thing to do. Now deciding whether he wants to be in a relationship with him is up to Nanjo.

My original comment literally said “not yet.” Nanjo should take his time before deciding whether he wants to forgive Mok or give him another chance. Somehow you turned “let him suffer a little” into “Nanjo should deliberately hurt him.” That’s quite a creative interpretation. Maybe read what I actually wrote before giving me a whole morality lecture.

And honestly, I can already tell you’re a Mok fan, because you’re bending over backwards to defend him. Yes, Nanjo has made terrible decisions, but Mok is more at fault for what happened between them. Nanjo’s mistakes don't magically cancel out Mok’s actions, and pretending they do just because you like Mok doesn't change the story. Mok repeatedly crossed Nanjo’s boundaries, coerced him, and hurt him. That doesn’t suddenly disappear because he has trauma or eventually says sorry.

Mok’s fucked up childhood explains why he became the way he is. It doesn’t erase responsibility for what he chose to do or the hurt he caused Nanjo. And your “Nanjo is older and more mature, so he should be wiser” argument makes no sense either. Being mature doesn’t mean immediately forgiving someone who hurt you. Taking time to process everything and decide when you’re ready is perfectly reasonable.

You also said “a good person needs to live by example” and that Nanjo should forgive Mok because asking for forgiveness is difficult. Since when does saying sorry automatically earn someone forgiveness? Mok can genuinely regret what he did, while Nanjo still needs time. Both can be true.

And please spare me the “I hope you’re the perfect person you sound like on the internet” nonsense. I never claimed to be perfect. We’re discussing fictional characters, and I can acknowledge that Nanjo is flawed while still recognizing that Mok bears more responsibility for the damage between them. It’s not that complicated.
