It’s because he’s innocently honest to a fault. He says exactly what he means, every time. No sugarcoating, beating around the bush, being avoidant. The MC likes Yeonsung he always has but instead of telling him directly he was waiting for Yeonsung to tell him first. Now I do think this whole conundrum has made him a better person in general. He’s learning to open up and actually show affection even if it’s to an entity

I feel bad for all three. Yeonsung is afraid of his own emotions. Geonpil is devastating lonely. And Beom is dying for real connection and love. It’s all very poetic. I think they all need to have a real conversation. The truth is MC didn’t go looking for Beom. Beom came to him disguises as his roommate. Our Hyung has had many years to be direct and honest. It’s the only way your feelings could reach an unloved orphan who uses his body to find a level of warmth he’s never had before. He’s used to people not taking him seriously. I think this is an impossible situation that can only come to a conclusion with communication.
