In chapter 17 when the (possible) ml's friend/aide tells us what he has achieved, it kinda seems like "exposition through monologue/dialogue" where characters state facts that are already known, to inform the audience about the backstory. Same that happens in Antigone, which starts with her talking to her sister and telling her something like ""Ismene, my sister, mine own dear sister", only for the readers to know who she's talking to. Now that I think about it that was a dialogue, so maybe in this case it's just normal narration/internal monologue and I am sleep deprived. Very. Too much. Borderline Delirious.
