i think the reason why a lot of people had mixed feelings because holy the author was not afraid to show how much bdsm can be this intense and uncomfortable. it isn’t usually someone’s preference. like there were literally characters in the story that react the same way as i do lmao. i might not be a fan nor knowledgeable about this genre and some chapters were really hard to continue (their sessions…). but somehow (?) i enjoyed (?) reading this because both characters are aware that they are fucked up (mc especially). i think it was fun for me to try understand why they act that certain way rather looking at it with the usual bl format; hence, my enjoyment. very interesting!
