The names of the theme park and research institute are translated as "Gaiety Theme Park" and "Gaiety Research Institute" here.
I was mentioning being unused to it since the word "gaiety" was cheerful/joyful/pleasant in the novel tls & mtls I've read
The "gaiety" in the amusement park and research institute names instead of cheerful/joyful keeps catching me off guard every time. Maybe because I'm used to the other versions, but it doesn't flow as smoothly and sounds odd.
