The whole secretly knowing each other as children is very common is Korean BL. I don't see it nearly as often in Japanese BL.
Not only bl but for most of Korean stories (drama, movies, books) it’s like an obsession for them.
Yeah, the same goes with the love interest being a chaebol, it's an extremely overdone trope in Korean series.
Communication shouldn't be that difficult. I also wonder why each yaoi goes to the "we met when we were young"
