I read the novel years ago, during pandemic, so I don't really remember the entire details at all. There's this part where Sovieshu was suspecting Glorym as not his biological daughter. So he brought Glorym to the temple to have that blood testing. A drop of blood of Glorym and Rashta's slave master's son was said to be confirmed after by the Pope, saying that he's the father, not Glorym.
Apparently Duke fucking Ergi ( I hate this to my core as well) Sabotage the DNA test.
That's speculation from the fandom and copium from rashta's supporters + author not addressing any issue.
Gloriem was normal size and healthy baby so there's no way it could have been sovieshu's kid. Rashta was already pregnant when she was found by the emperor. If she wasn't the premature labor would have resulted in Gloriem being smaller than normal.
+ it would not explain the YEARS of failed conception with Navier. Sovieshu was impotent.

I stopped reading the extra stories after a while since author back pedalled and wrote the extras after after getting all backlash from fans because she was unfair to rashta and Gloriem.
Is Rashta's previous owner who impregnated her. I hate that nothing happened to him and he wasn't portrayed as bad, no consequences, he pissed me off so much and the author taking it lightly.
