I have a feeling that if he trained his original body back up, he'd look like how he looked before(living in the game) cause we can see from the early chapters of the experiments that he looked like his original body
So... he was literally inside the game, not an actual different world. His soul got transferred into his character's body and then got back to his original body... I think?
