Minho’s mother became suffocated by strict adherence and discrimination from the family she married into. The constant pressure that high society demands has inevitably burned her out. Her cheating, is clearly intentional. It was a way out. A form of rebellion. It was understandable, but not justifiable. Objectively, she was SELFISH caused by early NAIVETY.
Minho’s dad was inherently weak. The pressure of being the eldest of a conglomerate family, combined with strict— robotic like upbringing with zero regard for emotions and empathy rendered weak resolve. Minho’s mother was clearly his ESCAPE. When she left, his escape (world) crumbled. Add that to his already miserable mental constitution from years of robotic upbringing and emotional neglect, it ultimately blindsided anyother desire and responsibility, hence neglecting Minho in the process. Objectively, he was SELFISH and NAIVE.
The grandparents are major stressors that ruined a person’s capacity to grow. Their way of upbringing led to their children’s underdeveloped mental capacity, especially the older brother. Regardless of intent, their desire to preserve the company and its name became top PRIORITY, and their children becoming TOOLS in the process of preservation. Objectively, they were SELFISH and APATHETIC.
However, mistakes become luxury when you are no longer the sole benefactor for the consequences. Subjectively, as you grow, you learn and adapt. There will come a time where you will have to stop blaming your past and upbringing for your present choices.
These are three factors that eventually caused Minho so much pain. Subjectively, I UNDERSTAND them, but it does not— in any way shape or form JUSTIFIES the emotional turmoil they inflicted on Minho.
