Sometimes I amaze myself for forgetting stories I've already read before. To think I literally forgot how this ended and how I reacted to it.
It was simple and light. I really enjoyed the concept and the genre. The witch part was creative but unnecessary to the story.
And there wasn't much on her past life. I don't think she even told her husband even though it's a big part of the reason why she is so good at making coffee. We all know it won't fly with her being a coffee genius. She has to have the skills after years and years of experience.
It almost scared me how she seemed like a witch to me in the way that she was way too good with coffee. But apparently they have a different concept on witches here.
They rushed the ending, I think. Never really gave us more on her reunion with her mother, and the way they resolved the war that easily is far from realistic. It was years of war and probably decades of being scared of witches. That's why I said it was unnecessary to include the witches in the story.
I love the art though. It's light and simple and even though I'm not a coffee fan myself, I really like the visuals.
Such a shame there wasn't much conclusion on her toxic family. I really wanted them burning down. And I wanted to see the FL starting a family with her hubby. At the very least, a pregnancy announcement.
Anyways, probably be back to reread it again. Unintentionally reread this but I enjoyed it all the same.
