The funny thing is a huge chunk of stories in the bl genre have the same kind of settings as a starter (minus one dude for most) but then they turn into a romance where at no time you see the mc (victim) show any signs of trauma or distress they ”simply fall in love with their rapist”. Here you have a very good depiction of a rape victim he is full of rage but tries to keep on moving on and even chose not to report his assault and ”moves on” I wish more authors would paint assault more realistically, like nobody wakes up the next day thinking ”why my heart was beating so fast while he was doing that to me? I really can’t get him out of my head”
