Otomo really deserved better... he was such a good boyfriend to her, he was a walking green flag and she couldn't appreciate it enough and I hate that as soon as they broke up he doesn't appear anymore or anyway he doesn't have anymore a big role... anyway, after chapter 45 everything starts getting really messy, it felt really rushed and confusing, till the very end they are still talking to each other in such a confusing way.
It would have been much better if she went on with otome, that would have given the story a more mature and healthy touch to the story, instead the author chose to follow this mystical energy that bonded natsume and know and couldn't be broken because they are made for each other bla bla bla till the very end we don't see them as a couple and we don't see if they have learned to live a peacefully couple life (like natsume and otomo did)
