The MCs hatred is not consistent what so ever, and the decisions he make, makes no sense.
Why does he suddenly have this unconditional affection towards this "Boy" he finds, there's no justification made by the author. There's a passing line about how he looks like the emperor's son but that's it.
Also when the "boy" finally reveals himself, the MC is supposed to be blinded by hatred and dispair but that's not the case what so ever.
He's always looking for how the emperor has changed and asking why he's making such a face and what not.
If the author included such agony and dispair into the MC life, make it consistent. Stop minimizing Rape, Abuse and torment.
And why is he even considering meeting the emperor to 'calm him down' that makes no fucking sense.
He abused to, raped you, did unimaginable things to you, the last thing you're obligated to do is calm him down and be responsible for his tantrums.
Ignore him, run away, leave the empire. The MC is supposed to be strong willed and smart but the author makes him to stupid things to justify the plot moving forward because they can't write well.
