Their traumas are pretty similar, but their brains obviously coped with it vastly different from one another. Seme is like those rager incels who are all bark and no bite, cowardly trying to run when things get hard; and uke is someone who genuinely has deep rooted mental issues, and has finally found the perfect "outlet" for his instability.
I wish there were side stories of the seme being conditioned to accept his new lifestyle, learning to "enjoy" it, that kind of thing. I think it would totally make things come full circle. But I guess I'll have to settle for my imagination!
