He targetted the Mc the first time he saw him. He doesn't even let Mc go to overnights or events with other people. Mc only got that chance when he is with Ml.
It's a really overdramatic series. Ml is a bratty, foul-mouthed person. Mc is a truly miserable and abused character. He suffered so so much in this novel.
I'll skip some events in the beginning and get to the juicy part. Mc's father discovers that Ml r*ped (yes that is the word they used and seme admitted it too) him. Though what happened was there was another guy trying to overpower Mc using his pheromones. Ml kinda saved him but in the end they had their first time together during that while ordeal. It was non-consensual. Anyway, Mc's father annoumces this in a family dinner along with the Ml and Ml's parents. He humiliates him by striping him and showing his marks. Yelling that his son isn't a virgin anymore. They were forced to get engaged.
The whole engagement is chaotic. They fight all the time but make up and they're still intimate. They have feelings for each other but don't know how to name it. Mc slowly opens up and becomes a bit more vulnerable while Ml falls harder and becomes less annoying. Mc's abuse lessens until his brother decides to kidnap him and keep him in a warehouse/cabin. He first gropes him, sexually assaults him, and then finally r*pes him. It was very hard to read because Mc was begging the brother the entire time to stop but he doesn't listen and even taunts Mc. Mc gets out and as brother tries to catch him, Ml hits the brother with his car and rescues Mc. The whole time Mc was missing, he was looking for him.
It's discovered that Mc is pregnant with Ml's child and they use this as leverage against the father to cut him off. The brother is in coma now and the father is more worried for him than the Mc. They cut him off and Ml finally mans up and becomes Mc's protector. He also regrets what he did. The whole r*pe thing doesn't get brought up much and instead it focused more on the Mc's strength and what he does next. Their engagement proceeds. The relationship becomes so dramatic and they almost broke up because of their miscommunication. In the end, they confess and Ml proposes to Mc properly.
Soooo unsatisfying. I didn't see any side stories too.
