Yes, Denial. He's swimming in that river full speed, against the current, refusing to get out or go down. never seen a better swimmer in my life.

I haven't finished the novel yet, but one thing that's so funny to me (though infuriating af sometimes) is all the mind farts mental gymnastics Ian is always doing to make blondie seem evil in his head.
