Ian was sold when he was just a kid, sadly northern kids were often sold as slaves and prostitutes to southerner nobles.
A bit of context : the north is very liberal about sexual relationship but once you're married you're basically loyal to your spouse for the rest of your life, no cheating is allowed. The south instead, has a strong concept of chastity and premarital relationship are forbidden (for both men and women) though many actually have sexual relationship in secret while preaching chastity and even after marriage it's kind of normal to have mistresses.
The one who bought ian as a slave was mc's father, who is a pervert pig bast4rd. He had him serve as his sex slave bc his wife was currently pregnant with mc and couldn't do anything with her:sick: One night ian was sick with a high fever but mc's father still went to his room and raped him. Right when it was over, a servant called for him to go to his wife bc she went into labor and it was in that moment ian thought of taking revenge and how : he would destroy mc's family and take the newborn baby, since he was born while he was being raped he saw him as 'his own' baby.
Now coming to Ian feeling towards mc...
Idk if at the end of the story he ends up loving him but surely for the most part he felt hatred (bc he was the son of his rapist) + some kind of distorted affection since he saw him as 'his' son. At some point he starts liking the way mc genuinely loves him and wishes it could always be that way, but he also knows mc will hate him when he will find out he planned to destroy his family and married him as a final revenge. In a way (or at least it's what it lookied like to me) he is suicidal bc he secretly hopes for mc to kill him once he'll know everything, bc he sees his life as tragic (which is true) and dying by mc's hand it's like karma
Main story is just mc doing his best and falling in love with ian but also him finding out about his past Side stories were even worse bc they were aus and what ifs
Now coming to side stories....
an omegaverse au in which everything is the same + ian gets pregnant with mc's child but he loses the baby (I swear there's not a moment of happiness in this story :blobcry:) - a what if story in which ian is still a sex slave in mc's house and they meet while they're still children. Mc finds out ian is used as sex slave bc one day he sees him but he doesn't know the other person is his father.... Mc ends up falling in love with ian and when he's a teenager he has his first time with him but ian gets imprisoned when mc's brothers finds out
