Based on the comments, I’m assuming this is trash, written by someone who is either weird or projecting their trauma through this. And no, this is NOT the benchmark for gl’s
it’s horrible! i read about 1/3 way through and it was shocking. if you have any recs i would love to hear it
am i missing something? this is one of the first fantasy gl’s im reading but i don’t understand the high ratings.
at chapter 20 right now. the main chracter is apolitical and the love interest is classist?? their best friend is in an incestuous relationship (secret and frowned upon)?? looking at the comments, it seems like there are even more problematic themes.
is this the benchmark for fantasy gl’s? also serious question: was this written by a woman?
I would love recs if anyone has any other fantasy gl titles that aren’t as controversial as this
