Idk why yall complaining I thought the execution plot wise was great! Not the best thing ive ever read obviously but still a good, slow read regardless!

I thought switching between time lines was very well done for the plot because it really added onto the slow burn of the entire storyline. These jumps create a connection point of feelings between the two main characters and how they came to be with each other in adulthood. PLUS good art and it has a few stings here and there for the emotional conversations/conflicts but nothing too crazy for the angst.

A pretty light slow burn read between two friends whos been jumping around their titles for years despite wanting more from each other without even realizing it. This entire premise strays away from the toxic bl or the overly cute school romance, they brought something more realistic without focusing too much on the mental health or struggles at home between these two, like,, a realistic situationship? Especially between people of the same sex getting together. I know it's not like theyre getting tomatoes thrown at them or anything, but same sex couples (back then + conservative country) tend to jump around that line because of the backlash they often receive from it. These two shows that perfectly WITHOUT being necessarily homophobic (internally or not), they were never against the idea of dating each other (semi spoiler), but you could kinda tell mc was a little worried about the people talking. It portrays a pretty realistic mindset for these two as individuals and how they came to be and I thought it was pretty well written out! Its slow BECAUSE these kinds of relationships takes time.

The people complaining plot wise being slow and boring gives me the same impression of people hating on violet evergarden when it first came out because it was "too slow" lmao

Overall, a pretty good slow burn! 4.5/5 stars
Oh and plus good art
