I'm glad that technically he won't be the ML (right?? pls lah). I dont want to carelessly labelling him but i feel like he is a narcissistic and deliberately dated the FL because he is in search for perfect 'spouse' (or victim, really) to fan his ego and completely submit (eww) to him.
We know that the FL is struggling financially and got no one to turn for help bcs her only family is her teenage brother. That's why he is slowly try to make her dependent on him (asking her to move in? Want her to ask him to send money for her father?) while never feel the need to make their relationship public.
I bet he do likes FL but he will eventually abuse her (financially, emotionally, maybe even physically) if they managed to be together for years with her in the dark. He'd slept around, she might confronted him but can't do anything bcs she can't leave him while being dependent (like many such Domestic Violence cases irl).
I'm glad that she got to know of his harlot ways earlier, even if she is still in denial and reluctant to end things since she got so much to lose but I hope she won't doubt too long.. I'm also afraid that he might tried to babytrapped her
