I don't think it's really a regret plot (its all put together if you read it all) although they did have and meniton alot of regrets they were currently having because they were all grieving It's more about understanding that love has its ups and downs, and sometimes the best thing you can do is let someone go because you love them. You'd rather leave with the good memories of the person you loved than hold on until that love turns into resentment or even hatred. As they were holding on in different ways and trying to bury it or hide it or seek it else were or try getting it out of someone who was clearly hurting and not right mind as realizing letting go before things get worse means preserving what was good about the relationship instead of creating something even bigger to regret later for someone you loved for so long or have loved and it had changed into a different kind of love and all of them were loves in different font and not necessarily had to be romantic i

Yeah totally see what you mean. Its just not my taste of BL. I get why you and others really like it! I left a comment just in case other readers are like me and don't enjoy stories like this.
DNF-ing bc I got annoyed by the "regret" plot. Too much angst for my taste. I understand and appreciate those saying its realistic bc it is. And that's definitely why I don't like it. I don't want my bl to resemble reality. If you like heart-wrenching stories with drawn out angst and (presumably) a satisfying ending, this is for you. DNFed at chapter 55 for those curious.
