This is so funny in the cringiest way. Definitely edgy fifteen year old power fantasy and good for them.

The child and her mom are literally an accessory. Every time the mom brings up an issue it's solved in two seconds because "don't worry I understand". Like, no you have valid reason to be upset talk this through.

The kid is... honestly so annoying and has like four voice lines. (That is how it feels.)

And as for the protagonist. Hoooooly shit. Dude nearly got his whole squad killed to prove a point. Like? What? Those are your subordinates. This is not a good leader this is just ego.

Anyway... yea that's about it...

On the squad part, they’re pretty capable people with big egos, if he suddenly just stepped in without even letting them try, they’re just gunna build resentment or take it for granted that MC is going to do it all/is enough to handle it all for them. Right now what he needs are strong, capable, and obedient people to protect the ones he love thats why he let them fight and get beat up but step in once its sure that they can’t handle it.

Its gunna be a mega boring story if you show all these cool badass and strong charas is MC’s just gunna immediately step up every time there’s a strong enemy, seeing them grow stronger would be better this way.

Also marriage is like that sometimes, there are somethings that could be let go of immediately, some you just have to cry it out for the other to understand, and some times an actual talk happens.

Also the kid is like 3-4 with barely any meaningful screentime and its just her being a cute obedient baby-

Which is weird. Kids aren't just cute obedient babies. They're people with newly formed but still unique personalities. I think the issue is that the kid DOESN'T really have any meaningful screentime. For all the time he's spent pining and seeking revenge he quite literally barely gets shown actually spending time with them even though we know he gets downtime.

The child is literally featured on the cover so it's just kind of like? "Why?" It's like when those movies have trailers featuring big actors and they get two minutes of actual screentime.

As for marriages, letting go your husband just... going to places where he could literally be killed in a one shot because he won't say jack shit? The lack of communication seems more like the author just can't right The dialogue is already cheesy as hell with the one liners.

Now for the original squad part, my guy could have literally done better. Like yea sure let them get scruffed up not nearly fucking decimated. Like, the dude sat in the back twiddling his thumbs and unfortunately all we're probably going to see is just him constantly winning battles without growth (no him training in between does not count if he doesn't get knocked on his ass in the process). At LEAST if the author maybe puts out some arcs of those around him succeeding WITHOUT him stepping in at all that'll be something. For now he's just... OP Self Insert.
