Alright y'all, I'm on the 64th chapter and I'm frustrated. The fl is genuinely smart EXCEPT when it comes to the ml. Why does she keep expecting the story to go the same way as it did in the novel? "Because it was written to be that way"? (Her exact words btw) She's already changed things and she already knows the novel had a lot of misleading information. She also already knows that the original fl resembles his mother, who presumably died in the original timeline, but she still thinks he's going to fall in love with her at first sight. Girl, he obviously didn't even fall in love at first sight in the original--he saw that the fl resembled his dead mother who'd been held hostage from him the entire time he was emperor and felt he should protect her because of that. Unless there's a different reason and I just haven't read far enough to get to it. Anyway, I just hate how many of these stories have the fl expecting everything to still progress as it did in the original story even after they know things are different now. To be clear, I'm blaming the author for this, not the fl. Idk why the authors dumb down their protagonists like this. I'm tired of it.
