Without any apology, without repentance how can people expect mc to sympathize with the brother and forgive him? I don't support the MC forgiving his brother easily. I love that the MC can say that the brother is not welcomed there. For all his 18/19 years of life the MC has only been mentally and physically tortured. only now for a few months he has found stability. That too only after separating from his family. and his trauma keeps on showing his face on his doorstep frequently. Without proper repentance it'll be hard for me to forgive the brother even as a reader. whereas the MC had to go through ALL THOSE YEARS feeling crappy about himself, feeling suffocated.

Being the black sheep in the house f*cking hurts. no matter how much time passes, the feeling of being neglected by your own family never goes away. Two siblings being treated very differently and not knowing what you did wrong, feeling hopeless, and having nowhere else to go because you're a child, constantly being traumatized, constantly hoping for their love and attention and being disappointed each time. These feelings break your heart every second.

You do well in an exam and they praise you for a few seconds and move on quickly because there's more important things to worry about. Also the other sibling's result was far better, so the parents tell you to be like the other sibling.

Then for your good result these few seconds of their praise feels so superficial and forced, like the result wasn't at all satisfactory. but you still cling on to this hope that maybe they'll one day realize that you have value and everything will be okay. but it never happens.

then you slowly become an adult. and realize that your sibling should've supported you in some way because they were older, smarter, more intelligent than you, more sociable, had their life put together, and all of these things that you could never be, And they still didn't help you. Because you're not their responsibility.

Being neglected all your life. and you know for sure that you'll never be able to forget all the bad feelings that you felt. So how can people expect someone to forgive their sibling and parents and move on? and act as if all those things never happened? whereas they never apologized for what they did because they don't even realize their mistake.

And now you're evil
