I genuinely don't know what these authors are thinking anymore. Like, yeah, I KNOW ML was sexually exploited throughout his childhood. I know he suffered, I know he went through horrible shit, and I know he worked his ass off to reach the position he's in now. I can understand why he's traumatized, angry, and wants revenge. BUT BRO, PLEASE understand that you are taking revenge on an innocent person. What is the fucking point of that?

You take revenge on the people who actually exploited and harmed you, not some innocent person who literally had nothing to do with it just because he happens to be their son. MC didn't abuse you, MC didn't cause what happened to you, and MC isn't responsible for his father's actions. If MC had actually been involved, helped cover it up, or knowingly participated in what happened, then okay, at least there would be some basis for your anger. But he's literally innocent. So why the hell is HE the one being punished?

And someone even pointed out that the brothers apparently also took part in ML's sexual exploitation. So why the hell aren't THEY your targets? If your whole revenge plan is to make someone fall in love with you and then dump them or emotionally destroy them, why not do that to the people who actually participated in exploiting you? Why specifically choose the one person who did absolutely NOTHING to you?

Like, you could have targeted the people who actually harmed you. Make THEM trust you. Make THEM fall for you. Whatever the hell your revenge plan is, do it to the people who are actually responsible. But no, apparently being related to your abuser automatically makes an innocent person fair game. What kind of logic is that?

And what's even more ridiculous is that the story is basically repeating the same shit in reverse. First, the bottom MC was being abused and mistreated by the ML even though he hadn't done anything to deserve it. Now we're getting another story where the bottom is doing essentially the same thing to an innocent MC because he's angry at someone else. Like, are these authors literally incapable of writing revenge without making an innocent character suffer for somebody else's crimes?

I can understand ML being traumatized. I can understand him being angry. I can even understand him making irrational decisions because of what happened to him. But trauma can explain someone's actions; it doesn't magically make those actions justified. At the end of the day, he's hurting someone who had nothing to do with his abuse. He's not taking revenge on his abusers—he's creating another victim.

And then, of course, after all that revenge, manipulation, and unnecessary suffering, he falls in love with MC. WOW. What a revolutionary storyline. So the plot is basically: “Your father hurt me, so I'm going to hurt you even though you're innocent,” followed by “Oops, I caught feelings.” LIKE WHAT THE FUCK IS EVEN THE STORYLINE ANYMORE?

I've seen this exact bullshit in other stories too, where the ML wants revenge on the MC's father, so the completely innocent bottom MC ends up being exploited and abused as collateral damage. Why can't these authors come up with an actual revenge plot where the person responsible is the one who suffers the consequences?

Honestly, at this point, I think the art style is carrying the entire story because the artwork is good, but the actual storyline? Nothing special. It's just another recycled revenge plot where an innocent person pays for someone else's crimes, followed by the inevitable “I fell in love with my victim” bullshit. Like, please give me a better storyline because this is just fucking ridiculous.
