This story is too good omg. What a gem. I need more so badly. Premise Characters Dynamics . I love that the OG FL isn't demonized and I actually really enjoy the personality of our current Hailey; it feels like a balanced mix of charm and flaws (as per her conversation with Marris). Sure she's ditzy and incompetent in a lot of areas, but she tries her best for Maron and focuses on bringing it closer to "civilization" first and foremost. She's also not completely helpless and knows when to be assertive, and she also uses the information about the novel to her advantage while still trying not to concern herself with the protagonists as much as possible (well trying and failing). Her dynamic with Rykard (/Hera lmao) is a treat to watch and I love how they have a playful relationship. It gives best friend to lovers vibes and I wish their connection had more screentime, as well as Rykard individually, because it's genuinely so interesting. I think the history Hailey had with the male leads being more complex than just her being an evil trifling villainess enhances the storytelling, and I like that the story didn't go the Beware of the Villainess route and make them comically evil and stupid because it makes the characters feel more real. My precious Asta does not deserve any of these men (except maybe a Rykard, everyone deserves a Rykard). It was inevitable I'd enjoy this story so much considering it basically has everything I love. It's a historical romfan isekai with zombie-like creatures, dark/demonic magic, kingdom building, and an endearing found family esque cast. I'm also curious about the original Hailey and Bellflower's family. My god this plot is so interesting this story is so refreshing. I need more like this and if this has a novel I might need to read that too
