Hon, honestly, the novel sucks
It was so bad and im so disappointed cause i have a high hopes when i read the manhwa. But anyway, The story of those oldies are doomed yaoi. Elika, the empress, loved the duke but the duke love the king (crown prince that time) and the crown prince wants to get closed with the duke and be friends with him. It's messy. The empress was the duke's fiance that time and she really obsessed with the duke but after knowing that the duke love the crown prince, she took revenge. Called the engagement off and make the king fall for her. Until things happened which is the recent happenings. The duke used the empress remain as bait for the king. Then the king and duke face each other and clash ft. angry confessions from the duke that he love the king and not the empress and the king confess he really want to be the dukes friend back then but the duke said them being friends is not enough for them. The duke was ready to die in the hands of the king for what he did but the king can't do it. They kiss instead and the king said that the duke is not allowed to die unless he permitted. But bruh, only the side stories are worth reading cause the whole novel was disappointing. I was so madddd.
OMG i thought they're gonna have their happy ending
The main characters ended okay. But bruh, it was only until the epilogue that they sort out their feelings cause the mc was really inlove with the fl and until epilogue the mc was still confused of him feelings for the ml. Bruh imagine 130+ chapters only for them to be truly feel inlove with each other on the sides stories! Deym i was so hooked up with the manhwa too but the novel really dissappoints me. Im cryinggggggg
