What the hell was going on in Haldoria while MC was running it behind the scenes... And I also wonder how she's gonna handle what's left...
Cuz rn it looks like a house of cards inching towards the verge of toppling.
So far MC... - Has thrown the kingdom's military into a panic (her so-called rival's faction is in disarray, she hypnotized a knight into slaughtering an entire marquisate save for the Marquis, and she killed the former commander who was a combat powerhouse) - An economic scandal in her hands (counterfeit coins that would crash currency valuations and public trust the moment the scandal goes public) - Crippled mercantile trade (poached artisans, poached merchants since MC got the artisans AND products to please them, seeking to close her own guild)
That likely leaves this stuff left: - Alchemy hostile takeover (currently here) - Nerfing magic tools in Haldoria (this is overarching, since MC basically made all their modern magic weaponry and tools) - Persuading the nobility to gtfo of Haldoria (probably a vacation/resort arc after wrecking the alchemy guild + death of her father by either the mercenaries OR MC herself) - Agricultural sabotage (this will probs be the second-to-last arc) - Crashing the prestige of the royal family (tho tbh the crown prince is alr doing that by himself)
Big bad SEEMS to be the mercenary leader, tho I think MC might forcefully dump the already-crippled kingdom to him/her as a final revenge gift.
