You can turn of notifications when editing/adding a series to a list, you'll see a blue check mark and 'show notifs' simply click the checkmark so it's no longer there, press save, and you'll no longer get notifs for that story
I think you can add your preferred completed story in the “already read” list and you’ll get notifs for it if there are any new updates. As for the likes. They notify you if someone likes your comment?? Never really happened with me.
