The main story is a bit mid, their relationship is a bit too easy-going, not too developed and a bit too fantastical to be honest. I also didn't like that the characters are constantly smiling, it just makes it harder to convey their feelings as it doesn't translate to their faces. But the side stories totally surprise me, what a masterpiece of emotions, the depths of relationships, trauma, self-development, it's just a perfect and impressive deep dive in the trauma and feelings of the ML, explaining realistically how relationships work and their hardships.
