I've read up to chapter 126 so far and while I like the story I feel like some parts can be a little slow at times. Sometimes it feels like the MC is frequently repeating herself (like her thoughts, reflecting on her past, etc.) in different ways so it gets a little annoying when she keeps on repeating the same sentiment that's been shared multiple times before such as when she keeps on reflecting on how she raised Melane. Like why does she keep on mentioning that every 10 chapters or so when she's not adding anything new to her revelations? I think the author is trying to make it clear to the readers that the weight of her past actions are weighing on her mind a lot, but it's annoying when she spends about 1/3 of a chapter on repeating what's been said before.
Anyways, besides that aspect, I like the MC's character development and how the author handled it. Like instead of making her suddenly atoning for her sins and acting like a morally upright person, the MC is actually morally gray and struggled with coming to terms with her past actions. Her complexity was well addressed and I like that she didn't just suddenly become a better person, she had to overcome her own shortcomings by leaning on others, and even still, she didn't just suddenly turn into a morally good person just by realizing her sins. It makes her struggles not feel superficial
