If something was troubling one another they would call each other and say what their problem was. Also the uke isn't homophoic and actually supported him being gay. Uke went out of his way to support getting his crush ( he didn't know it was him and even after he knew he played along which eventually led them to dating ).
Also ima just say that it's fine for a heterosexual person to feel uncomfortable and the mc did, but he learned to cope with it. The mc needed clarification on learning what his feelings was towards the ml first especially since he was straight before but he eventually learned to deal with it and he 100% put his energy into dating DeMarcus.
