I don't give a fuck about the other things, but I genuinely think this MC has absolutely no self-respect. Nothing can convince me that you would still go back to someone who literally used you as a replacement, told you straight to your face that you weren't the person he was looking for, then went looking for other blondes and literally brought another blonde into the picture while he was still with you.
And if people are going to tell me that he didn't cheat just because he didn't actually have sex with him, I'm going to fucking lose it. Like, are you fucking serious? Imagine my boyfriend literally telling me, “You're not the person I was looking for,” and then we don't see each other for six months .Then I come back and find him with another person who is ALSO blonde, and it's clearly implied that he was planning to sleep with him. And somehow, just because he didn't actually fuck him, people are saying he didn't cheat? Wow. Apparently cheating only counts when someone's dick is physically involved now.
And people are also forgetting that the author deliberately didn't show the ML going to the bar and picking up these blondes. They literally just cut straight to showing the blonde already in the room. Why? Probably because they knew that if they explicitly showed the ML going to the bar, choosing someone, bringing him home, and whatever happened in between, people would take it literally as cheating. Just because the author doesn't explicitly show every single thing that happened doesn't mean nothing happened. The blonde is literally there, and given the context, I'm obviously going to treat that as part of the cheating. He was literally looking for replacements until the very end.
And people who think they had already broken up are also completely ignoring what actually happened. They DIDN'T break up. The MC literally said in his text that now wasn't the time and that they would talk about it again. They just didn't see each other for six months. That's not a breakup. And the next thing we see is the ML with another blonde. So if you're going to tell me that's not cheating, I genuinely don't know what the fuck you people consider cheating.
You can literally see it in the MC's inner thoughts in the chapter. He is thinking that they just have to talk about it, that they simply haven't talked about what happened yet. Even HE doesn't consider the relationship officially over. So how are you people deciding that they were broken up? Go back and read chapters 31 and 32 before arguing that this wasn't cheating, because the text literally makes it clear.
So if someone can read all of that and still think, “Yeah, I'm totally fine with this person ending up together,” then I genuinely don't know what to tell you. At some point, you have to have enough self-respect to say, “Yeah, I'm fucking done.”
