I don't exactly know how to describe this manga. I gave it a re-read after I saw it on my timeline again and it got more chapters, as I read it two years ago. For the better part of the story, (the story that is), it's really just shock horror; Beastars but if cannibalism was basically rampant and it being the standard in the world instead of it just taboo, where both anthros and humans can become livestock. Rich people (humans and anthros alike) consume their own and are the Epsteins of this manga. At first it was kind of scary, but with the author introducing the aspect of humans rebirthing as anthros and overutilizing the gore aspect to the point where it was just shock horror threw me off. The first 5 chapters were dedicated to a story in one of the farms, and should have just ended there, because what followed was just more battle shonen shenanigans. The most recent chapter does hint as some potential story changes, though I think it was long overdue. I should probably note to mention that 95% of people in this manga are evil in the sense that they don't care about cannibalism and engage it in, as well as other heinous acts such as owning human or anthro slaves. What character could you even like out of this manga? Cheka's Father? It's not like there's only anthro animals to consume, in one of the chapters they quite literally show a feral wolf, meaning, there must be normal animals as well to eat from. From the most recent chapter, they show a rebellion group made up of primarily humans of sorts, but knowing the author, he's probably going to make another twist to show that they aren't good or something. The art is good, but like ehh... come on.
