The curse started with Neil Otis, and so it must end with him too. It also gives everyone the chance to see how spending his time in the garden might have made him reckon with his past cruelty and selfishness towards Edgar. Also, no one deserves to suffer for that long. He has done his time. Keeping him alive is essentially only keeping his wrongdoings alive and is the reason there is this cycle of violence to the Otis family. Let it all be put to rest.
why would you make neil otis be the reason they triumph like why would neil be able to see rose’s memories and all that like he deserves to suffer and he’s not even remorseful where’s the logic in that like he’s the reason everything went to shit in the first place
