I also read the sequel first, which is an amazing manga. It has 3 dimensional characters, emotional depth, a good story, it's just great. This story touches on what happens in that story a bit, but it's mostly about Jinwoo's ex and Jinwoo's younger brother. It's also not the best translation, so I feel like a lot of nuance is missing.
Also, Jinwoo is portrayed very differently compared to the sequel. He almost commits rape more than once (no rape occurs in this manga so far.) He's less portrayed as lost and self-destructive like the sequel, and more obsessive and controlling. It's very odd.
