I read this three times. The first time, I was so disturbed that I could not get past the first few chapters. The second, I finished it but was entirely put off and the only thought going through my mind was "what the fuck? Who would write this shit?" Now, I can really see that it is a good depiction of how the effects of childhood abuse follows you to adulthood and how there is no perfect victim. I am unsure how to feel about the both of them, especially yoonbum. I sympathize with him in the regard that he is utterly alone in it all- his parents are dead, his only guardian (uncle) is his aggressor at home and abused him, and his only friend (rightfully) broke things off with him which led to ostracization from his peers. He is willing to grasp at anything that makes him feel wanted and special, which is why he was so susceptible to developing stockholm syndrome with sangwoo and saw him as a genuine lover as the story progresses. Yoonbum and Sangwoo are similar in a lot of ways. They try their best to cope with the cards dealt to them and end up missing their aggressors despite how horrible they were/are. Both are terrible people though but 10/10 story
