First, i dont understand what that means but given the context am assuming u mean who has a ‘fem’ role vs who has a ‘masc’ role- then the white haired guy seems more fem. Secondly, I think we don’t need to always put hetero roles on queer couples, tho i understand that not everybody can comprehend it since society has made it seem the ‘right’ way, but i do hope u understand where i am coming from and not take this negatively.
P.S u should def read this, its awesome
Could've just said that first part brodie anyways i get what ur coming from but Big spoon and little spoon refer to the roles in spooning in a cuddling position not sex which isnt a "hetero" role, the bigger spoon doesn't necessarily have to be the "masc" presenting one they can also be the little spoon plus I only asked bc I like when the "masc" ones are the little spoons its not necessarily bc they're queer id do the same thing with a hetero couple plus these roles are "hetero" roles
…oh god damn why are we making big deal out of who’s top who’s bottom. Doesn’t have to be even that, like verse and stuff. But top and bottom role aren’t exactly straight position. Although in BL we simply express things strangely through penetration, it’s all about that spoon vibes ig. Clear examples we can take from yuris and femdom stories that in fact bottom and top is not inherently sexual or inherently male and female thing. Heck really also it is simple indicator for more spoon factor more than anything. Read shounen ai or shoujo ai, or just any anime ship but it’s all speculative who’s what spoon
Typically in shounen ai, I would think of it as MC vs ML. MC is the main character, the ML refers to the character who is the romance lead.
In this case, the ML is more dominant/caretaker role so in your definition, he will probably take the lead. I also think his character falls more under the stereotypical "male dom/top" role

who is da top
