I mean, its a phase no? When I was 12-16, I did take an hour + shower to go to school. As an adult, 30 minutes including the shower is all I have patience for. Its not an expectation, its a common phase.
Do you think your male peers went through a similar phase? I agree that it is a phase, but it is still pushed onto young girls via society’s expectations of them to participate in excessive beauty rituals. And the main way young girls are influenced is through the media they consume.
I see that youre saying and I agree BUT, and if you are also female, you may agree with me when we say boys are gross.(Its a general statement) but we do aslo ignore boys and men rituals. Location matters too. Example, I cant imagine being a south korean man.
Id say, feel comfort in knowing that there are "unreasonable" expectations in most societies. At least where im from its not legal to ask for a picture with your cv.
It’s really annoying how theres this expectation of girls needing to have an insanely long routine to prep their appearance. Cos wtf do you mean she wakes up at 4am just to spend 2 hours on her appearance for SCHOOL. Also, she doesn’t eat a proper breakfast but the guy does. #noticing
