I would make the argument that he was constantly away- bc they had a contract marriage for 4 yrs and it was probably easier for him to be gone. He forgot to calculate that he left his foreign wife who barely speaks the language in a new environment with no support at all bc she was a 'spoil of war' thinking that his manor would protect her. Even if his ppl are loyal to him theyre not loyal to her & took out their anger and resentment out on her bc she never fought back. Its weird ngl bc where are the head maid & butler? They should've kept the staff under control & help her adjust instead of leaving her in the hands of a maid that had it out for her. Its weird that he never got reports and if he did they were probably lying to keep him in the dark since he's obviously in love with her. I would make the argument that he volunteered to be married to her bc he fell for her at first sight. There seems to be chapters missing here and there and there doesn't seem to be any real structure at the manor & his relatives were only there for the wedding. It wouldve been excused if it was in the beginning of their marriage but its been 3 yrs and he can only keep his fam away for so long unless his parents are gone and he's the last of the main line. I think this story relied so heavily on the villains they forgot to add the little details (that wouldve prevent said villains)
At first it was almost cute like idk why tf you’d ignore your wife and let her be treated like that for 3 years if you supposedly like her but was willing to give the story some grace but he’s just an asshole. He pmo so bad. Everyone pmo bad. I see ppl hating on MC in the comments but like she’s the victim here and as much as I am confused why she’d feel sudden attraction and attachment to that dickhead I still think the poor girl is doing her best despite it all. Dropping this now before I get too pissed off..
