Author favoritism for Carsen really shown through out the entire story. I don't mind if the execution of the story was right. But, I can't really understand why maythan/jinsoo chose him, when their relationship mostly just beneficial for Carsen, maythan barely got anything in return. Their dynamic scream "Carsen can't live without maythan, but maythan DEFINITELY can live without carsen". It's almost feels like maythan only got together with carsen because Carsen is the one who forced him enough (and stockholm syndrome kinda?).
I mean Cedric the ultimate green forest is right there, even Kael with his past obsession has better personality than Carsen imo. Wait, i think Carsen is the one who obsess over Maythan, Maythan should tell him that too?
