i remember i saw a lot of people complaining about how this story was going, i read the whole thing for the first time and honestly, i think the problem is that this is ongoing lol if you read the whole thing in one setting it doesn't feel off. also the "drama" wasn't heavy at all, some ups and downs in a relationship are normal and mitsuki's action are consistent with her personality, she has been like this since she was a teenager and ofc as a young adult she's still learning, I'm glad I didn't pay attention to people's complaints and read it anyway, it's really good.
