The ending is trash

This is only my personal opinion from someone who binged the entire webtoon in 2 days but I felt like the ending was lacking. It's a completely happy ever after for fans who have followed and wished for one since the first chapter which I would also have hoped for when I started reading this however as I read more and more I just felt disappointed at the ending, because this webtoon ultimately is about grief, it starts this way but does not end this way. This ending it received was nothing about grief, or overcoming the immense regret one faces in life due to the past. I didn't mind the bit where they revealed that the male and female leads roles were reserved with the time travel things but I feel like the ending undermines the theme of grief. It would've been better if she'd learned to move on while still being grateful for him and for the 3rd year student, he shouldn't have magically became a CEO just because MC saved the male lead's life. We never see the 3rd year student successfully overcome his fixation with changing the past and switching between professions once it gets too hard instead of actively trying to put in effort into what he's lacking. The series DOES exposes this but DOESN'T follow through with all these points in the ending. It just feels like the ending was a fairy tale fanfiction au to make the readers feel good because it 'all goes well in the end'. And not an actual conclusion to the story.
