My headcanon, if u wanna read my rambles

I love them so much. Bittersweet ending, but a happy one I suppose. It might not even be completely desolate as the manhwa suggests. It seems like only recently in the past 20 years (bc Roger looks the same age in the flashback), there were still plenty of people to monopolize with figs. Roger could also BUY a kid, a pretty one at that— so he had options. I don’t think Noah and Geno are completely alone unless a MAJOR event happened to wipe out all survivors globally in those 2-3 decades.

There was also that person hiding in the cave— based on my observations, that was a real human. They could talk and they weren’t mutated. Now it can be argued that it was in the early stages or have recessive physical traits, but panels of creatures they’ve encountered all drastically have that monster appearance to them that I don’t think there would be exceptions. And if it’s a recent infection, that just proves my point that they were a living human up until very recently. Geno’s self-monologues also tend to be a foreshadow when he doubts himself. So yeah, humanity might not be entirely lost.

I’m also going to headcanon that Noah continues Roger’s research of planting fertile vegetation. I’m going to imagine he’s gonna plant all these fig trees just so Geno has something nice and pretty to see. And he’s going to find/create edible food just to please his lover because he complains about canned food lol.
