So yeah since s1 it's obvious that Nanjo, to some degree, whether he wants to or not, has warmed up to Mokyeon.
So I don't know where this sorta popular impression that "Nanjo genuinely does not fuck with Mokyeon, never has, and never will" came from, because he clearly warmed up to him after their date night. They started texting casually (he most likely didn't do that with Sunhwa) Even after Mokyeon almost killed Sunhwa during that BDSM stuff later on, nanjo was still willing to kiss mokyeon in the season finale, before they got cockblocked.
The reason they fought for months was because Mokyeon crossed the line, not simply because Nanjo hated him like he used to.
He warmed up to him and to some degree, clearly attracted to him. It's just that whatever he's feeling right now isn't comparable to Mokyeon's (unhealthy) affection and obsession.
As for how the chapter ends, idk 100% what Nanjo’s gonna do, but I’m confident he’s not going to beat the shit out of him again, especially not after he tried to force him to go to the doctor and offered to pay the bills lmao.
