He didn't know about the name Lucia. He learns it when listening to Lucia and Damian talking to each other and later they talk about it, but *spoilers* Lucia says she prefers to be called Vivian by him because, with him, she's Vivian
I’m aware he didn’t know the name Lucia. As I wrote, fl didn’t tell him that name. I was just saying it was ironic because they both have a “real” name, or original name, or however you want to think about it. And they both publicly use another name for reasons. And since they unknowingly share that trait, it was ironic that he liked when she (unknowingly) called him by his real name, but still insisted on (unknowingly) calling her by her princess name. They’re both in the dark about each other’s situation while sharing this name parallel.
Also, I dunno if I’m even using the word ironic correctly. I might be pulling an alanis morisette.
Hmmm...no, when he learns Damian call her Lucia and her friend in the duchy in the north too (and that even Jerome knows it too)...he is jealous but want it to be her who tells him her "childhood name" (like he said) so he's really itching to call her Lucia too...

Chapter 30 was where we learn ML’s backstory about his twin brother and their names. Tbh i dropped the story by chapter 45, and up to then, I don’t think he learned her name Lucia. Buuuuuttttt I could also be very wrong because I don’t even remember who Damien is.

Hello no you're right...if you didn't read after 45/50 chapter it seems to me that you can't know iirc, he learns that the day of tea party with Damian in the duchy...the one when she cry because of how they treated Damian...sorry (▰˘◡˘▰)
Kinda ironic that he’s happy to be called Hugh, and insists on it, while also insisting on calling her Vivian. It’s kinda her fault too, because she could have clearly explained that Vivian was the name she got after becoming a princess, so she prefers the name she grew up with. It’s not like her history is a secret. Plus Hugh had her investigated so he knows she grew up a commoner. But since she didn’t explain, maybe he just thought she was being picky. But now that we know Hugh is Hiu and not Hugo, it’s just a bit ironic that he isn’t sensitive towards her name while he’s sensitive towards his own name
